Sue Maas

SUE MAAS is Terracon's EHS Training Program Manager in the Pacific Northwest and has been a health & safety training expert for over 35 years. She has over 25 years of training management experience in the Pacific Northwest, and is one of the most recognized instructors in the regional hazmat industry. Sue has been a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) since 2002 and an OSHA Education Center Instructor through the University of Washington for respiratory protection since 2000. She has trained thousands of students in multiple health and safety topics from a wide variety of public and private- sector organizations including utilities, engineering, hazardous waste, transportation, construction, environmental consulting, government agencies, and asbestos and lead abatement.

Before joining Argus Pacific (which merged with Terracon in 2015), Sue was the training manager for another Seattle industrial hygiene firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology and geology from Whitman College (Walla Walla, Washington), and earned a secondary science teaching certificate through the University of Washington.
